Girls Weekend!

My mom, sister, grandmother, and I went on a Girl's Weekend to Chicago the 3rd weekend in June.  We had a great time hanging out together and shopping!  We stayed half a block off the Magnificent Mile where we definitely enjoyed some serious shopping.  We also saw Mary Poppins, the musical which was cute and fun.  We ate at some yummy places and all in all we just had a great time together.
We went to the Field Museum, where Sue, the first T-Rex found lives.  This sign says "Sue gets her head examined."  We weren't sure if they were referring to Sue the T-Rex or Sue my mom!
And here's my mom with Sue.  Sorry the picture is flipped the wrong way.
My mom and my Nana.  We were so glad that my Nana got to come too.  She is so fun!  Having her there definitely made the trip better.  We celebrated my mom's birthday in Chicago.  The concierge at the hotel was pretty funny.  When she made our dinner reservations, she made sure to let all the restaurants know that it was my mom's birthday, so we celebrated her birthday every night while we were there and got lots of free desserts!  :)
My sister and I.  We went on a boat tour of Chicago.  We got to see Chicago from a very unique perspective and learned a little bit about the history and architecture of Chicago.  The best part of the tour was when we went up the Chicago River and saw the city from the water.  The worst part was when we sat on the water for 30 minutes waiting to go through the Lock so that we could go onto Lake Michigan and see the Chicago skyline.

Mom and Val "Singing in the Rain" on our way to go see Mary Poppins.
Eating dinner.
My sister eating what is possibly the world's largest chicken pot pie!  We had a great trip!
