SURPRISE! Today we bought a new car! We hadn't planned on buying a new car, but sometimes life just happens! :) Tyson has been driving a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire for the last 4 years. While the car got Tyson where he needed to go, it's cost him just as much to keep the car in repair as it did to buy the car in the first place. The most recent repairs cost almost $700 because for some reason his 4 cylinder car was only running on 2 cylinders. Well, yesterday, Tyson had to go to the airport to fly to Chicago and back. When he got to the airport, his car started acting really weird. The engine was popping and the car was vibrating. After he was done flying, I picked Tyson up from the airport to make sure he had a ride home! We went to see what was going on with his car. We figured if it was drive-able then I could follow Tyson and we could drive it over to the mechanics. But alas, the car was in worse shape than we thought. When Tyson turned the car on, the whole thing started shaking VIOLENTLY. (In all honesty, it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.) This morning we had the car towed and on Monday we'll find out what's wrong with it. We're not entirely sure what we want to do with the Pontiac yet, but we are definitely getting rid of it!!! (It's for sale if you're interested :).

So we decided that the time has finally come for us to buy a new car. We checked out a few websites last night to see what's out there. We also saw a few great deals in the newspaper. Today while I was in school (yes, I have school on Saturday from 9-5 for 2 months) Tyson ran over to the car dealerships to start looking and check out what our options were. We'd seen a good deal on a Lexus in the newspaper so that was one of the dealerships Tyson looked at. Tyson picked me up from school and took me to the Lexus dealership to show me this car. The one we originally were interested in was sold by the time we got back, but we started looking at a different Lexus. It was a 2004 ES 330. We absolutely LOVED the car. However, we didn't want to rush into anything and wanted to make a smart decision. We went to the Toyota dealership to drive a Camry. Once we were able to compare the Lexus to the Camry (which were roughly the same price), we knew the Lexus was for us. We went back and bought it. We love it and are so excited about our new car!

Here's the inside view so you can check it out!
